How to promote your skating fund-raising parties
Kids want to be where kids are! Get them excited about their special school private parties! We have listed several ways to promote your private parties.
- Announce in your newsletters at least once or twice about the private party. Have the parents be sure to watch for the Starlite flyer to come home with their children.
- Hand out the private party flyer Starlite provides FREE for you a few days before your party. Double sets of flyers are available at your request.
- Make posters to put up around your school. Put them in places where you can be sure they will be seen.
- Announcements over the PA system one to three times a day before and the day of the party are very effective. If your principal will do this, great! (Example-[with excitement] "Don't forget tomorrow is our family party at Starlite. I want to see all ofo you there!")
- Teacheres can skate at your party Free! The kids love it when their teachers are there. Teachers in their classrooms can also do a lot to get the kids excited about coming. (Example - "I'm going to the skating party. How many of your are coming? How many of your parents are coming?")
- Encourage your principal to participate by announcing the party on the PA system and also by attending the party, FREE.
- Use incentive programs. Award the classroom with the most points a Popcorn Party or a Golden Skate Award....a traveling trophy given to the class with the best attendance at the party. We will provide a skate for the PTA representative to paint gold. Example - Teacher 5 points, parents and siblinigs 2 points, and students 1 point. The points are counted when everyone is coming in for the party.
- Award Door Prizes (inexpensive)
- Go from classroom to classroom dressed up funny or put on a skit in the lunchroom. This is best done the day before or the day of the party.
- Work for goals the shool can use and put these on the flyers that go home with the children. Examples - playground equipment, computers, books, etc.
- Use the Hand Stamp in the lunchroom.
- Advertise your party in the school bulletin.
Use your imagination!
These are only a few of the many ways YOU can have a GREAT PARTY!!!
